Fulani & Tribal Braids

Crown patterns with deep Sahel roots — from $180, braiding hair included.

Woman with a sculpted cornrow crown, cowrie-shell earrings and amber necklace

About this style

Cornrowed patterns through the crown flowing into loose braids — a style with deep West African roots, named for the Fulani people of the Sahel who made it iconic.

Traditionally finished with beads and gold cuffs. This is the style that looks most like the heritage it comes from, and the one Dédé is asked for by name.
