№ 01Booking & payments
How do I book?

Book online on the booking page — pick your braider, style and time, and pay the $30 deposit to confirm your seat. Prefer to talk? Call or text 651-238-0698 and Dédé books you in directly. Already at the salon? Use the walk-in check-in on the same page.

Is the braiding hair included?

Yes — braiding hair is included in the price. Come as you are; we bring the hair. No surprise add-ons.

How do I pay the deposit?

$30, paid securely online as the last step of booking. It's non-refundable, but it's applied to your final total. Walk-ins don't need a deposit.

What do I pay at the salon?

The remaining balance in cash, or by Zelle to 651‑238‑0698, at the appointment. Tips are never expected but always appreciated.

Can I reschedule?

Free reschedule up to 2 days (48 hours) before your appointment — the deposit moves with you to the new date.

What if I cancel late or don't show up?

Cancellations inside 48 hours and no-shows forfeit the deposit, because that time was held for you. A new deposit is needed to rebook.

What if I'm running late?

We hold your seat for 15 minutes. After that, late arrivals are charged $5 for every 5 minutes — long styles need every planned hour, so please call or text if you're behind.

№ 02Before your appointment

Policy · arrive washed and blow-dried

Hair must come washed and blow-dried before your appointment. It means neater parts, less tension, and a style that lasts weeks longer.

Not blow-dried on arrival? A $20 blow-dry fee applies. Other prep, time permitting: wash $35 · $50 if hair is tangled · locs detox $65. You can add prep when you book.

How long does my natural hair need to be?

About about 4 inches (10 cm) — roughly enough to grip between two fingers. Not sure? Text us a photo.

Can I bring my child? A plus-one?

Children being braided (ages 5–13) are always welcome, with a parent or guardian staying for the appointment. For everyone else's calm, please keep plus-ones to a minimum.

What should I bring?

Just yourself, clean blow-dried hair, and something to pass the time — snacks, headphones, a laptop. Wi-Fi is yours. Parking is on site; Suite D is the second unit on your left.

№ 03During & after
How long will I be in the chair?

Cornrows 1.5–3 hours · medium knotless or box braids 4–6 hours · small sizes or extra length 6–8 hours. Your confirmation includes an estimate, and we'd rather be honest than optimistic.

How long do styles last, and how do I care for them?

Honestly, it depends on how you care for them. Wrap at night in silk or satin, oil the scalp gently, skip heavy products — and most styles keep their best weeks longer.

What if something isn't right with my style?

Tell us before you leave the chair — we'll perfect it on the spot, no charge. Once you leave, the style is considered accepted, so take your time at the mirror. We want you to walk out feeling incredible.

Do you braid children's hair?

Yes — ages 5–13, at a gentle pace, with age-appropriate styles from simple cornrows to beaded box braids. See kids' braids.
